Hip underground NY label Franky and Minx has just signed a licensing deal with Cincinnati-based Ripple Junction to launch a range of men's and women's T-shirts, sweatshirts and stickers.
The urban collection debuted at the Magic trade show in Las Vegas this August and will be available soon in speciality boutiques throughout the US. Renowned for their signature tattoo-inspired products on intimates and loungewear, Franky And Minx's new collection aims to continue exploring tattoo and grafitti-orientated clothing that speaks to the younger generation. Franky is already recognised nationwide for his original tattoo designs, popular with the public and celebrities alike, including Shyheim from the Wu-Tang Clan. His skills at translating tattoo designs to apparel were first demonstrated in his collaboration with Betsey Johnson in a range of textiles for her designer collections. Minx, the second half of the design team, is a youth marketing specialist and avid follower of the hardcore punk/ska music scene. She has expressed desire to create more of a lifestyle brand for the label in the past and is enthusiastic about the new line. She said excitedly; 'Our agent did a wonderful job bringing us together with a company that's young and hip and has a strong distribution base.' Contact: minx@frankyandminx.com
